Notice To Owners Regarding PETS

Several points require clarification regarding Pets. A few complaints have been filed recently regarding isolated incidents of dogs being tied outside and unattended. All owners should be reminded that the condo documents specifically state that pets must be leashed and accompanied when outside. Pets must not be an annoyance, nor create a nuisance or unreasonable disturbance, to any unit owner or occupant.

The specific sections of the By-laws and Rules and Regulations are summarized below.

In addition to the Pet Rules as outlined in the Condo documents, there are coyotes in the area. A very large male has been seen in Angell Brook Village, and a female has also been spotted. These are large predators who could, and would, kill a dog rather quickly. We do not want to see a neighbor’s pet lost in this way. It would therefore be in each owner’s best interest and the best interest of his/her pet to abide by these rules.

Enforcement of these rules is not a pleasant task, but the Trustees must, and will, take the required steps, with a fine structure similar to the Town of West Boylston. This will ensure fairness to all residents, including all those who do not own pets.
